Park West Gallery is searching for applicants who would like practical work exposure on a cruise ship as an Art Sales Associate Auctioneer via their apprenticeship. The Park West Gallery Art Sales Associate Auctioneer Apprenticeship offers individuals the opportunity to transform their passion for art and engaging with people into a seagoing career with the world’s largest art dealer.

Participants enter a paid, apprenticeship-style program designed to guide them through a professional pathway from Art Sales Associate to Shipboard Gallery Director and eventually to Art Auctioneer. Throughout the program, they develop skills in live-event sales, strengthen their stage presence, and manage gallery operations—all while traveling internationally.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

  • Interact with guests and assist them throughout their art-purchasing journey
  • Help facilitate live art auctions and lead dynamic gallery events onboard
  • Create appealing art displays and collaborate with an energetic, enthusiastic team
  • Provide professional guest service in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

In return, you will be entitled to the following compensation:

  • Receive a contract minimum of $1,400 USD for each month onboard during your initial active assignment, earning whichever amount is higher each month—your performance pay or the $1,400 minimum (not combined)
  • Earn unlimited performance-based compensation, including commissions and bonuses after your first 30 days
  • Expect an initial annual earning range of $50,000–$80,000 USD, with experienced professionals capable of earning $100,000–$300,000+ USD
  • Operate as an Independent Contractor through a third-party staffing agency, taking responsibility for your own taxes and insurance; review full terms upon selection, and note that no candidate fees are required
