Applications are invited to apply for the Handyman vacancy to join a team based at ST John’S Collage . This role reports directly to the Facilities Manager in the Facilities Management Business Unit.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Technical tertiary qualification would be an advantage
A minimum of 5 years’ experience
Technical background, practical training on basic handyman services
Excellent inter-personal skills
Have sound knowledge of a maintenance environment
Previous responsibility and successful performance on comparable FM contracts
Proven knowledge of contracts
Duties & Responsibilities
Strong skills in painting and surface preparation – Knowledge of various Painting methods
Strong practical skills in general carpentry and steel work
Replace broken tiles according to TAL specifications.
Possesses basic electrical knowledge, including safe handling of wiring, plugs, and light fittings
Knowledge of basic plumbing
Experienced in repairing and replacing door locks and related fittings
Perform any other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Skilled in using tools and equipment of the trade.
