What Is This Apprenticeship About?

The Heineken Apprentice Programme trains you as a Millwright, also known as a Fitter & Turner. Over the course of the apprenticeship, you’ll learn the practical and theoretical skills needed to become a qualified artisan. Your daily work will include participating fully in the structured training programme, delivering high-quality work, and performing assigned tasks with care and precision.

What Skills and Qualities Should You Have?

To do well, you should have:

  • Good problem-solving skills, especially related to technical issues
  • Strong communication skills — being able to speak and write clearly
  • The ability to work well under pressure and manage your time wisely
  • Great attention to detail, making sure your work is accurate
  • Good knowledge of safety rules and being careful to follow them at all times

What Are the Educational Requirements?

You need to have completed Matric with Maths and Science. You should have an N2 qualification in Engineering studies, including relevant Mechanical trade theory. It is important to attach a certified copy of your N2 certificate with your application.

Additional Important Information

  • You must have your own reliable transport to get to the workplace.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Be ready to work at different Heineken plants or facilities if required.
