Job Overview

As a Customer Service Agent, you’ll play a key role in helping passengers with ticket sales, flight bookings, and schedule changes. You’ll also handle any challenges that come up — such as flight delays or cancellations — while keeping passengers informed and supported at all times.

Main Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include:

  • Assisting passengers with ticket sales, bookings, and flight changes.
  • Explaining airline rules, terms, and conditions to customers clearly and professionally.
  • Helping passengers during flight disruptions or cancellations and ensuring proper communication.
  • Managing and protecting confidential passenger information.
  • Handling customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Escalating complex issues to the Supervisor on duty.
  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous airport or ticket sales experience is essential.
  • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts, including early mornings or late evenings.
  • Strong computer literacy – particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken English).
  • A professional phone manner and the ability to deal with passengers in a polite and efficient way.
  • Ability to handle conflict and solve problems under pressure.
