The Clerk: Pricing will be responsible for ensuring that customer pricing, claims, and related administrative tasks are processed accurately and on time. This role is crucial for maintaining financial accuracy and supporting Clover’s internal pricing systems.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform the following key duties:
1. Claims Administration:
- Investigate, validate, and code customer claims correctly.
- Release valid claims and ensure they are processed according to company policy.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for all transactions.
2. Pricing Maintenance:
- Prepare and capture new deals and pricing structures in the company’s system.
- Reconcile and verify all pricing entries to ensure correctness.
- Update customer price books regularly in line with company standards.
3. Customer Support & Communication:
- Respond to pricing queries from internal teams and customers.
- Liaise with Key Account Managers and the sales department to resolve discrepancies.
- Build strong professional relationships with customers and maintain good communication channels.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate reports for pricing activities and deal performance.
- Prepare supporting documentation for buyers and management reviews.
- Provide daily and monthly updates to the relevant departments.
5. Financial Control:
- Ensure compliance with pricing policies and financial principles.
- Assist with debtors’ follow-ups and monitor outstanding claims.
- Identify potential pricing or claim errors and report them promptly.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- Language: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred).
- Licence: Valid Code 10 driver’s licence will be an advantage.
