About the Warehouse Team Leader Role
The Warehouse Team Leader will play a key role in managing the checker operators and ensuring that all outgoing trailers are loaded accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position requires someone who can handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining strong leadership and organizational skills.
Your main goal will be to make sure the warehouse runs smoothly, all documentation is correct, and daily load verifications are completed. You’ll also be expected to follow reasonable instructions from management and maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Team Leader, your daily duties will include:
- Planning and scheduling loads and trips to ensure timely deliveries.
- Checking incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Performing administrative tasks such as updating records, reports, and documentation.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring proper stock control.
- Motivating and guiding your team to achieve high performance and productivity.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (Matric) – this is non-negotiable.
- A tertiary qualification in Warehousing or Supply Chain Management will be a strong advantage.
- Must have a valid Code 08 (B) driver’s license.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good numerical and analytical ability.
- Must be disciplined, methodical, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive team relationships.
- Should be adaptable and comfortable dealing with change in a dynamic workplace.
