What You Will Do – Key Responsibilities
As a Call Centre Sales Agent, you will be the frontline representative of our services, speaking directly with new and existing customers. Your role will involve:
- Conducting outbound and inbound sales calls to prospective and current clients.
- Promoting and explaining our product and service offerings in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Meeting and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by team leadership.
- Using lead lists and sales scripts effectively while also adapting your approach based on customer responses.
- Handling objections confidently and using negotiation skills to close sales.
- Keeping detailed and accurate records of all calls, sales, lead status, and customer interactions.
- Collaborating with your teammates to achieve team objectives and maintain a healthy competitive spirit.
- Attending scheduled training sessions, coaching workshops, and feedback meetings to continuously improve.
- Ensuring all calls and interactions meet company policies and regulatory compliance standards, especially those set by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 1 year of call centre or direct sales experience (telecommunications or financial services preferred).
- Matric (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification is required.
- Excellent communication skills — you must speak fluent English and communicate clearly, confidently, and persuasively.
- Must be target-driven with the ability to work in a performance-based, high-energy environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Reliable transport to and from work and a commitment to punctuality.
- Must be resilient under pressure, adaptable, and self-motivated.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
