Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the store clean and organized, ensuring all areas are maintained according to Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards.

Your duties will include:

Cleaning the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness before the store opens.
Maintaining cleanliness throughout operating hours.
Keeping the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked at all times.
Using the correct cleaning products and equipment for each task.
Placing wet floor signs to ensure customer safety while cleaning.
Assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed.
Following Health and Safety Regulations at all times.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following essential requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
Basic customer service skills.
Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Additional advantages:

Previous retail store cleaning experience.
