About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store and offices. A clean and well-kept environment ensures great service delivery and a positive experience for both staff and customers.
As a cleaner at Brights Hardware, you will play a vital role in keeping the workplace safe, tidy, and pleasant for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors in the store and offices every day.
- Emptying trash bins daily to maintain cleanliness.
- Making tea for staff as part of your daily duties.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times.
- Cleaning windows every two weeks.
- Reporting any breakages or faulty equipment to your supervisor.
- Keeping track of cleaning supplies and ordering stock when needed.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping in your work area.
- Helping with stock counts when required.
- Carrying out other tasks assigned by your manager or supervisor.
What You Need to Apply
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification (Recognition for Prior Learning is accepted).
- The ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently.
- Good knowledge of hygiene practices and housekeeping standards.
- The ability to work well with others and adapt when needed.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with the team.
