Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd General Worker (x15)
Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd. is a global leader in mining services, specializing in mineral processing, tailings management, and infrastructure solutions. We are looking for 15 General Workers to join our Zimbabwe team at the Ran Mine site. This role offers the chance to contribute to operational excellence and safety while gaining valuable experience in the mining industry. The General Worker will support site operations by ensuring targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities include valve operations, installations, inspections, and maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Adhere to site schedules and participate in shift handovers
- Operate valves (opening/closing, deposition of open ends)
- Perform penstock operations (packing, wall dressing, closing holes/gullies)
- Assist with installations (pipes, catwalks, platforms, freeboard poles, berm penstocks, maintenance)
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Health & Safety
- Wear correct PPE at all times
- Attend daily safety talks and report unsafe acts or conditions
- Follow safe work procedures and ensure emergency preparedness
Inspections & Housekeeping
- Report defects (pump stations, leaks, spillages) and check pressure gauges
- Maintain cleanliness around pumps, valves, solution trenches, and catchment paddocks
- Remove vegetation, clean drains, and issue materials from stores
- Accurately report working hours and adhere to schedules
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3 Ordinary Level (O-Level) subjects, including English
- Medically fit according to company standards
- No prior experience required (training provided)
- Experience in deposition or hydro sluicing
