About the Toyota Instructor Maintenance Learnership 2025
Toyota Instructor is now searching for applicants who need theoretical knowledge and practical skills focusing on the Instructor Maintenance career path. The Toyota Instructor Maintenance Learnership aims to support the essential functions of the Technical Training Centre within the Motorised Division. This role plays a key part in helping the Technical Training Department achieve its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meet the company’s broader training and operational objectives. The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating, assessing, and moderating learners, ensuring a high-quality learning environment that ultimately contributes to the production of vehicles that meet Toyota’s rigorous standards for quality and cost efficiency.
To excel in this role, the individual must possess well-rounded technical training expertise and a solid understanding of plant maintenance operations. They should also be familiar with the full range of training modules delivered at the Technical Training Centre. As a technical expert, they are expected to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, empowering learners to contribute meaningfully to the plant’s performance and long-term sustainability.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Identify and analyze training needs specific to Toyota’s operational and developmental goals
- Determine and align with training requirements set by TETA (Transport Education and Training Authority)
- Facilitate training sessions for operators in accordance with unit standards and learning objectives
- Conduct assessments of operators based on the established unit standard criteria
- Perform moderation of operator assessments following approved moderation procedures
- Evaluate training module content to ensure alignment with TETA standards and industry requirements
- Develop and update curriculum and training modules to meet TETA-aligned standards, and maintain accurate training logbooks and course reports
- Deliver all training modules offered by the Technical Training Centre (Motorised Division), applying cross-skilling techniques for versatility
- Assess trainees across all modules at the Technical Training Centre using cross-skilling to ensure comprehensive evaluation
- Moderate all training modules across the Technical Training Centre through cross-skilling to maintain consistency and quality
- Provide continuous training and professional development for staff to support performance growth
- Ensure compliance with loading schedules by effectively managing manpower allocation
- Maintain open and clear communication with staff regarding training updates and expectations
- Implement various motorised unit standards as part of the technical training program
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a secure training environment
- Comply with ISO 14001 and ISO 9000 standards to maintain environmental and quality management systems
- Uphold the quality management system to ensure consistent training standards and output
- Follow all TETA and Department of Labour (DOL) requirements during training delivery and administration
- Monitor and manage the training budget and implement cost-saving measures within the Motorised Area
- Facilitate plant-based training and skills development to enhance operational capability
- Introduce innovative training strategies to support cost-efficiency and continuous improvement
- Oversee lifting equipment usage and maintenance to support training needs and reduce costs
- Manage store inventory and control systems to ensure resource efficiency and availability.
