Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will perform duties including but not limited to:
- Enforcing municipal traffic laws and by-laws
- Directing and controlling vehicular and pedestrian traffic during peak hours or emergencies
- Reporting road hazards, accidents, or violations
- Assisting in school zone patrols and public events
- Educating the public on traffic safety initiatives
- Issuing warnings and fines for non-compliance with traffic rules
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for these posts, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- No criminal record (Candidates will undergo vetting)
- South African citizenship
- Physically and mentally fit (Medical fitness will be assessed)
- Valid driver’s license (Code B or higher preferred)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in all weather conditions
